Forgetting to worry...

I am in love with this video! I've already watched a multiple of times and can't stop watching it. It brings me a little peace and a bit of happiness. I discovered this video on my friend Carolyn's blog, so thanks girl! I was also happily surprised to hear Barcelona's song "Please Dont Go" accompany this video. They are graduates of Seattle Pacific University where I currently attend. I can't believe just a few years ago they stopped by my dorm room to promote their album. So proud of them.

Wow. I've been really, really bad at updating. So to just give you a quick recap of all the things that have happened since my last entry: I got another job, had summer adventures, and turned 21! But now summer is almost over and I've not kept my promise of blogging of all things style, music, art, etc. Disappointing. To tell the truth, I've been visiting the bar scene here in Seattle and spending way too much money on alcohol and not enough on fashion.

However I decided to start up again with this awesome quote I found on lefashion and a snapshot of my crazy 21st.

I'm afraid that I will be living like this in the future. Who am I kidding? I'm not afraid! I'm looking forward to it.
Currently I'm subletting a room and my closet is overflowing. My clothes are all on a chair and my shoes are scattered on the floor. This photo reminded me of a fancier version of my room.

Zooey + Joseph = "This is not a love story"

500 days of Summer... This movie, directed by Marc Webb, showed at the Seattle International Film Festival (SIFF) this year but I missed it. Thankfully, the film will be released on July 17 for everyone to watch (including me!). I highly recommend viewing the trailer for this movie. Not a typical love story as the poster above explains, but I have a feeling that I'm going to love it. I'm especially excited to see Zooey Deschanel's fashion and Joseph Gordon-Levitt. They make a cute but quirky couple, which I love. Too bad the actress is engaged to Benjamin Gibbard of Death Cab for Cutie.

Another element I love about this movie is the posters. My favorite is the middle one where JGL leans over to kiss ZD. It's very 1950s and 60s. And it reminds me of either the Breakfast at Tiffany's poster or Les Parapluies de Cherbourg (Umbrellas of Cherbourg) poster. I find this interesting because I read in an interview that while JGL studied French at Columbia University, he watched a lot of French films. Neverthless, I give a kudos to the designer of these posters as well as the art director. Both the still shots of the movie and the movie posters look charming, and have a romantic and dreamy quality about them. Which again, I love!

The movie may turn out to be not a good one at all but I know that I will enjoy the styles, the art direction, and the cinematography. In other words, it's just my cup of tea for a summer movie.

I received free passes to view this movie before the official release date! I'm going to see it on Tuesday (7/14). Stay tuned for a movie review!

Allons-y!

Being the dreamer I am, the city of Paris is constantly on my mind. I have several friends studying abroad in Peh-ree in the fall and I'm thinking about visiting at least one of them. I'm a half-spontaneous and half-planner of a person, which may explain why I'm having a spur of the moment idea to go some place on a designated date. Whatever the case, I think I might just go. Even if it was just me going I could see myself wandering and exploring the streets, independently. I tend to go places solo anyway. Besides, I've never been to Paris in the fall.

Korean Red: part deux

These are the rest of the photos in the W Korea shoot with actress Song Hye-Kyo. And the mystery photographer of these lovely photos is Hong Jang Hyun! I will now be on the lookout for his future projects. He works for Korea Vogue Girl and... I'm afraid that's all I got on him so far. Nevertheless, these pictures are gorgeous. The red lipstick is definitely the standout element. So fierce.
